    The kiss of death.

    This astonishing sculpture forms part of Barcelona’s Poblenou Cemetery.  The Kiss of Death (El Petó de la Mort in Catalan and El beso de la muerte in Spanish) dates back to 1930. A winged skeleton bestows a kiss on the lips of a handsome young man: is it ecstasy on his face or resignation? Little wonder the sculpture elicits strong and varying responses from whoever gazes upon it.

    Age doesn’t matter

    artist-confessions:

    I hate when people compare an artists age with their skill. I read about a girl who was 8 years old and painted masterpieces. Know why this was possible? She woke up early before school to practice. EVERY DAY. How many artists can say they do the same? Not many. 

    So really an artist who’s young but draws amazingly isn’t all that extraordinary. 
    What’s extraordinary is their DEDICATION. Let their dedication to practicing and improving inspire you do to the same.

I am a former illustrator, nowadays drawing and painting for fun. My art focuses mostly on digital painting, but occasionally I use traditional media. I also photograph, and my main inspiration for photographing is my Asian Balljointed Dolls. I have quite many BJD's collected, and probably there will be more to come. I hope to get to sculpt my own BJD someday, maybe then when I have enough skills and understanding on anatomy and sculpting in general.
